Immune to electricity, fire and poison, also resistant to acid, cold and magic.

- Fire Aura: a Balor is constantly bathed in flames, damaging any who would engage it in melee. a favorite tactic of them is to use their whip in order to drag opponents closer to them and burn them this way.

- Demon Summoning: a balor can summon a variety of lesser demons to aid him at will.

- Death Throes: when a Balor dies he explodes in a giant fireball, dealing massive damage to all those nearby.
